Kindness Mission

Heart

Each day at 7:00 pm, step outside your home (with your family) and make some noise (use your voice, instruments or anything that makes noise) for all the essential workers who help to take care of our community (ex. nurses, doctors, paramedics, hospital cleaning staff, grocery store clerks, truck drivers, etc.).

  • Did I start with a capital letter and end with a period, question mark, or exclamation mark?

3. Make Corrections and Changes to Your Writing.

4. When You Are Finished:

​

  • Scan or take a picture of your work when it is completed and upload it to your portfolio (myBlueprint).

Pay attention to quotation marks and change your voice to match who is talking.

Mrs. Huang is excited to make pirate treasure maps with you this week!

                     Today is Part 1 : Preparing the Paper

​

There are 2 ways to prepare your paper: the messy way (adult supervision required) and the less messy way (no adult needed).

Tea Bag Dyeing

Materials:

  • 1 - 5 bags of regular black tea

  • kettle

  • water

  • cookie tray

  • spoon

  • glass bowl or measuring cup (holds bowling water)

  • plain white computer paper

Crayon Shading

Materials:

  • plain white computer paper

  • yellow crayon

  • brown crayon

Your pirate has been getting into trouble again and there are wanted posters up around town for his capture. 

What is the pirate’s name?
What trouble did they cause? 
What will the reward be for their capture?
