Vic the Slick was born in a back alley gambling den and is the product of generations of con artists. Members of his family are famous for scams throughout the world, like the “Case of Mona Lisa’s Missing Teeth.” The fake teeth were sold over a hundred times.

Vic has learned from the best and he works hard to live up to his criminal reputation. He is presently working for Carmen Sandiego as part of her gang and is anxious to impress her so he can become her number one henchman. He is currently number three.

Eartha and Bertha Brute are also known as “The Terrible Twins,” “The Gruesome Twosome," and “The Dangerous Duo."

These two sisters have been causing trouble since they were in Kindergarten. They started with petty theft and are now stealing some of the world’s greatest artworks.

They are fond of paintings and have spent the last ten years helping Carmen Sandiego steal famous landscapes. They are her number two thugs but they want to be number one. They have a lot to prove.
*Petty Theft: Stealing things that do not have a high value.

Snarla Swing is a “poor little rich girl." She was born to a wealthy family in New York City but turned bad at an early age. She likes expensive jewelry, and even though she could buy it, Snarla prefers to steal it.
She has been involved in almost every major diamond heist around the globe. It is rumored that she has a vault in her basement filled with her stolen jewels. However, Snarla chooses to wear the jewelry and often can be seen wearing diamonds from head to toe.
She just started working for Carmen Sandiego last year and is currently in number five position in the gang of crooks.
*Heist: A robbery or a hold-up.

*Vault: A secure room where money and other valuable things can be kept safely.

Snarla Swing
General Mayhem has turned her army training into a life of crime. She is an important part of Carmen Sandiego’s gang who helps to plan out and research their crimes.
Like her last name her planning often goes awry. She is famous for causing trouble as a diversion for her many illegal activities. The General doesn’t care how much damage she causes as long as the job gets done.
She is currently Carmen Sandiego’s number four thug, and would be much higher if she didn’t break so many things during her crimes.
*Awry: When something doesn't go as planned.

*Diversion: An action or event that turns your attention away from serious matters.
General Mayhem
Jane Reaction is Carmen Santiago’s number one criminal partner. She is an infamous criminal scientist. She was the smartest scientist of her generation until she suffered a terrible lab accident.
Her close friends know better than to mention “the accident." It is said that “the accident” is the reason Jane always wears gloves.
Carmen Sandiego recruited Jane early on in her career because of her logical thinking and they have become a successful criminal team.
*Infamous: Known far and wide for doing bad things.

*Recruited: Hire or sign-up someone to do something.
*Logical Thinking: Thinking that follows a step by step process of clear and correct ideas to come to a conclusion that makes sense.

Jane Reaction
Mr. Pickles a.k.a. "The Rat" is the result of one of Jane Reaction's experiments gone wrong. While Jane's hands were severely injured during the accident, Mr. Pickles got away with superintelligence.
It is said that Mr. Pickles has saved Carmen's gang of crooks from more than one tight spot and is credited with breaking into National Cheese Museums around the globe.
